Over the years, Sydney Boys High School has cultivated proud partnerships with six ‘year charities’. Each year group raises money for a nominated charity or community group throughout the year. Fundraising events are varied and depend on the year group. Activities are coordinated through the Community Service Committee, which includes student representatives from each year and is supervised by Mr J Walker and Mr J Phillipson. Organisations supported by year groups are:

• Year 12 - Oasis - the Salvation Army's Youth Support Network
• Year 11 - The Sir Roden & Lady Cutler Foundation
• Year 10 - Lak Saviya Foundation - benefitting the Kahawa Rathnasara Maha Vidyalaya school in Sri Lanka
