Cross Country is a winter GPS sport. The age categories are U14, U16 and Open. Races are held on Saturday mornings. All GPS schools host races, so the venue changes. Most meets are held in Centennial Park. Cross Country is also a NSWCHS sport so that talented runners have the opportunity to represent at school, zone, region, state and Australian level. Since 1996, several teams have won the NSW State Championship.
