The Rifle Club is the oldest Club in the school. The Club is affiliated with State and National small bore and full bore associations.

The sport instils self-confidence and self-esteem and all this, of course, carries over into a student's general school work and social behaviour. All students over the age of 12 are eligible to join the Club, their parents are required to complete paperwork before students are allowed to participate. Students receive classroom training and hands on experience. Once the students have tried Shooting and decide to continue, they sit a written test to obtain a Minor's Permit. The Club represents the School in GPS competitions and sometimes visits other Clubs.

The School were GPS Champions in 2001 (winning all three matches), Premiers in 1998 and 2003 and were Co-Premiers in 2009 and 2012. High won the 2nd Grade GPS competition for the first time in history in 2013 and then again in 2014. The most recent wins include The Mo Burdett Trophy at Wingham and The All Schools Match at Malabar.
