Donations to the Sydney Boys High School libraries

Once paid for and processed the donor student will have first option to borrow and read the donated book. New fiction, high interest non-fiction and study guides will be featured in our section of the fair. Students also receive acknowledgement of their donation in the book cover

During the Book Fair on 28 May, many books of interest to students will be available to purchase and donate. If you have any suggestions for great titles to add to our collection please let us know. The librarians are always happy to have student input into the library collection. This is also an opportunity for us to purchase other titles not donated with the limited budget remaining this year.

Ordering

The Junior and Senior libraries are sourcing their books from different distributors and each has a different order process. Once received, the Library will cover and accession boys’ donations and list the book’s availability on the Library Notice Board.

Junior Library

This growing catalogue is listing books which will be displayed at the Book Fair on Friday 28 May but you can order early. Your price is a 20% discount price to the regular retail price.

Ordering takes place through the Borders Australia online bookshop:

  1. Bo the Borders online site: http://www.borders.com.au
  2. Go to the “Create Account” section. Add your book choice to your shopping cart and be sure to put Sydney Boys High, Moore Park, Surry Hills 2010, as the delivery address.
  3. Check out and pay online via credit card held securely by Borders. You should use the coupon code:
    BAE-3312
    valid until 4 July 2010 to gain 20% off your purchase.

Borders will send you notification that the book has been dispatched.

The Children’s Bookshop at Beecroft is supplying all the latest titles at discounted prices so look at our catalogue of books posted here to see what’s available.

If you decide to choose and donate a book you will need to fill out the order form with payment details and send this back to the Senior Librarian.

All books in the senior list will be displayed in the MacDonald (Senior) Library on the day and everyone will have a chance to browse!
