There are two libraries at Sydney Boys High School. The KJ Andrews Junior
Library and the Senior Library.
It is Library Policy to nurture High’s uniquely talented students by giving
them quality learning environments and a chance to experience maximum
engagement.
Both Libraries work in concert to offer students generous opportunities to
access cyber equipment for self directed learning and a constantly refreshed
range of traditional book, periodical and DVD material to borrow.
Both libraries share the OASIS Library System. Students can search the catalogue
from any school computer or from home via the
Library Enquiry link.
Students can enquire about their personal loans via the
My Library section of the
Sydney
Boys High School Student Portal.
Both libraries offer access to online databases. Students can access this on
any school computer or from home via the Online Databases section of the
Student Portal.
In both libraries students can borrow up to 10 items. The common Loan
Period for most items is one month. High use items, including DVD’s, study
guides and magazines have a one week Loan Period. Students are encouraged to
borrow books for over school holiday periods.
